Salon Assistant Short Course
This short course is suitable for persons wishing to enter the workforce in the hair industry. This short course provides a defined and limited range of basic skills and knowledge used in hairdressing salons by individuals who provide assistance with client services.
Students will need to demonstrate the Learning, Literacy and Numeracy skills required for this course prior to course commencement.
This course will run 2 days per week for 10 weeks. There will be a 2 week break over the Christmas/New Year period
Day Classes – 9:30am – 3:30pm
Class Dates – 4th Nov 2019 – 21st Jan 2020
Monday & Tuesdays
Break Dates – 18th Dec 2019 – 4th Jan 2020
Once students have completed the short course, students may wish to enroll in the Certificate II in Salon Assistant Qualification which will commence on Monday 3rd Feb 2020 and run for 10 weeks completing on the 10th April 2020.
This course is delivered via face-to-face teaching, demonstration and practical application. Students experience a simulated workplace environment, with access to equipment, products and facilities reflecting industry practice.
