This qualification reflects the role of individuals employed as nail technicians to provide manicure and pedicare services, including the application of nail art, and acrylic and gel nail enhancements. These individuals possess a range of well-developed technical and customer service skills where discretion and judgement are required and are responsible for their own outputs. This includes client consultation on nail care products and services. Nail technicians may also be self-employed and responsible for managing their own nail station.
This course provides training in the fundamentals of nail techniques and services including:
Manicure and Pedicure's
Acrylic Nails
Electric Nail File Equipment
Nail Art
Infection Control

Entry Requirements
Students will need to demonstrate the Learning, Literacy and Numeracy skills required for this course prior to course commencement.
Course Delivery
This course is delivered via face-to-face teaching, demonstration, and practical application. Students experience a simulated workplace environment, with access to equipment, products and facilities reflecting industry practice. Students are also required to complete a total of 100 hours mandatory work experience to be undertaken prior to course completion.
