This qualification reflects the role of hairdressers who use a range of well-developed sales, consultation and technical skills and knowledge to provide a broad range of hairdressing services to clients. They use discretion and judgement to provide client services and take responsibility for the outcomes of their own work. This qualification provides a pathway to work as a hairdresser in any industry environment, usually a salon.
This course provides training in the fundamentals of hairdressing techniques and services including:

Entry Requirements
Students will need to demonstrate the Learning, Literacy and Numeracy skills required for this course prior to course commencement.
Course Delivery
This course is delivered via face-to-face teaching, demonstration, and practical application. Students experience a simulated workplace environment, with access to equipment, products and facilities reflecting industry practice. Students are also required to complete a total of 100 hours mandatory work experience to be undertaken prior to course completion.

Student Clinic
SCA operates a student run clinic day designed to enable students to gain valuable experience and skills for treating clients in a Beauty Salon environment.
