SHB30516 Certificate III in Barbering
This course reflects the role of barbers who use a range of well-developed sales, consultation and technical skills and knowledge to provide a broad range of barbering services to clients. They use discretion and judgement to provide client services and take responsibility for the outcomes of their own work. This qualification provides a pathway to work as a barber in any industry environment, usually a barber shop or a salon.

Course Name: Certificate III in Barbering
Duration: Full Time 3-4 Days/Nights Per Week for 12 Months
Day: 9:30am – 2:30pm | Night: 6:00pm – 9:00pm
Delivery: This course is delivered via face-to-face teaching, demonstration, and practical application. Students experience a simulated workplace environment, with access to equipment, products and facilities reflecting industry practice. Students are also required to complete a total of 100 hours mandatory work experience to be undertaken prior to course completion.
Entry Requirements: Students will need to demonstrate the Learning, Literacy and Numeracy skills required for this course prior to course commencement.
SCA take enrolments for start dates of both February and July intake in each year.
SCA operates in the same terms as NSW Secondary Schools, including holidays.
Starting Dates: 30th January 2023, 17th July 2023
Enrolments for our January 2023 intake will open from November 2022!
SCA Students purchase their kits which include materials and equipment they require to perform treatments and services in class and outside class hours and within their work experience. The materials and equipment within your kits become the students property once purchased. Please see information in the link below.
SCA operates a student run clinic day designed to enable students to gain valuable experience and skills for treating clients in a Hair Salon environment.
SCA students are supervised by an Educator and perform treatments in which they have been deemed competent in. SCA’s Hair Clinic allows students to build the skills needed to find work placement and employment after their qualification.

Option One – Fee for Service
Full Cost – $10,000.00
Deposit – $1,000.00
Payment Plan – Twelve (12) monthly payments of $750.00
Option Two – Smart and Skilled Funding
